How I met Caleb ~

1. Where did you meet?
Caleb and I emailed each other for 5 months before we met at his brother's apartment a few days before his brother and Ellen, my friend from college, were married.

2. What was the first thought that went through your head when you met?
"He has lots of hair." lol! The only picture I had seen of him was with short hair. I met him just before he went to get a haircut for the wedding.

3. Do you remember what was he wearing?
No. But I image it was a blue shirt and black pants as that was about all he had when we got married.

4. Where was the first time you kissed this person?
On our wedding day. Although if I had it to do over again it would have been different.

5. How did he/she ask you out?
He never did. He was living in Wales at the time and he offhandedly mentioned that I could come to visit if I wanted to. That was the closest thing I got to being asked out. lol!

6. Where did you go for your first date?

Well, after I met him, he and his family all went to Wendy's for lunch. I was invited along. We never had an official first date or any dates for that matter until after we were married.

7.How long did you know this person before you became a couple?

From the time we met it was four months until we were engaged.

8. Has this person ever proposed to you?

Yes. I went to Wales for a 1 month visit. After 2 weeks he popped the question.

9. Do you and this person have kids together?

Yes. 4 boys.

10. Have you ever broken the law with this person?

Not unless you count speeding.

11. When was the first time you realized that you liked this person?

When we were writing before we had met.

12. Do you get along with any of the ex's of your partner?

I've never met her.

13. Do you trust this person?

Completely.

14. Do you see you and your partner in your future?

Yes

15. Whats the most expensive thing this person has given you?

A family.

16. What is one thing he/she does that gets on your nerves?

He is unorganized. He did claim to be an organized person before we were married...I have yet to see it. lol!

17. What is the thing you do that gets on his/her nerves?

I'm not goal oriented. If I set goals they are ones I can reach easily and will probably pass without much effort.

18. Where do you see each other in 15 years from now?

Dealing with our teenagers!

How I met Hattie -

1. Hattie and I first met in the winter kitchen of a honeymoon resort in the Pocono mountains of Pennsylvania.

2. Hubba hubba! (Sorry kids, that's the way it was!) She was shy at being introduced, and I thought she was beautiful.

3. She was wearing black pumps, a white blouse, and a black skirt; and of course, she had a barrette to hold her hair back in a ponytail.

4. The first time we kissed was at her room, January 16, 1977.

5. We got together to share a belated birthday gift for her, which was just the day before.

6. Since we were working and living at the same hotel on a 2000 acre lake, We saw each other often at the resort. We did have occasion to go "off-property" to see some married friends.

7. We decided to stay together in May that year, and we got married the following year, in August 1978.

8. Well, no she didn't, and I didn't really propose either! I did know she wanted children, would make a great mother and cook. She was fun, and I knew I could spend the rest of my life with her. However, I told her, I was going west, and if some other circumstances had been different, I would have stayed and married her. Well, I did stay, and we worked out the details!

9. We're getting ready to celebrate our thirtieth anniversary; we have six children, and so far, six wonderful grandchildren.

10. Aayup, an' I ain't discussin' it!

11. I liked her right at the start. I loved her months later. And know I know how to love her (most of the time).

12. Huh?

13. The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her... and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

14. While the Lord tarries, returns, or calls one of us home!

15. That is easy. Hattie was a great pearl, but has become priceless rubies ... and a fruitful vine by the sides of mine house: my children like olive plants round about my table. I am a wealthy man.

16. Like most couples, money matters can often bring problems to a marriage. One of her great strengths she brought to our marriage has been her ability to manage the money. So, I don't get to carry it!

17. Well I suppose it's on occasion when I spend money, and let the bank tell her. Good communication is important!

18. Older, wiser, weaker, and happier - surrounded by more grandchildren.

With love from Kraampa
Happy Valentine's Day!
