Paint and Homework

I got the paints out for Jason and Paul the other day. Aren't I just the coolest mom!?!

Not really. Those paints were given to us in July and they have been collecting dust in my cupboard ever since. I didn't want the mess that they were sure to bring...and did, as you can tell from the pictures.

The whole painting thing kept their interest for... oh, about 20 minutes. Then it was into the bath for the two of them where they happily played together for over an hour. SO maybe the mess was worth it. Of course, they did take their shoes into the tub with them and my floor got an impromptu mop...but that's okay. It needed it.

Meanwhile...

Seth was having his first, and certainly not his last, homework session. I know these pictures make it look like he was diligently working away, but don't be fooled. This one worksheet took him over an hour to complete!

Any tips on how to get him to concentrate, pay attention, stop talking, stop laughing and sit still?

Seth, it is exciting to see you doing your school work. I am left-handed just like you. That's great, because left-handed people are in their right mind, Ha Ha! (Ask your mother.) Love Kraampa

If they're like my boys, the bath water probably turned a lovely color of blue or green after painting.

My tip for homeschooling boys, is maximize the FEW minutes a day you can get them to focus ;)
