He's and She's

Happy 3 Months, Baby Girl.

Someone asked how our baby she is different than the baby he's.

Well...
As far as appearance
She is very different than the last 3 he's who've graced our family.
But she does resembles the first he so much...it's freaky.

However...
There is her own special unique "just because I'm a she" cry.

All parents learn their babies cries.
You can tell when their hungry or tired or hurt.

This cry I've never heard out of our baby he's.
It's an
"I don't like what is happening" cry.

Quite pathetic. Completely adorable.

...but I hope she grows out of it
before she can talk.

Finally!!!

After trying many many many things...Morgan once again has clear. smooth. soft. baby skin. We haven't seen it since he was a month old.

The doctor's couldn't help. "Put this cream on it." is what I was told...which, of course was a steroid cream. He said there was no way to find the source of his eczema. I was not satisfied with that answer.

Some things I've tried have lessened but never fully cleared it up. I continued to research and add other ideas as I found them. The research led me to many frightening things. Did you know they put formaldehyde in our mattresses and on our clothes...harmful chemicals in our lotions and detergents...and petroleum in our disposable diapers! No wonder there are so many suffering with eczema and psoriasis.

Anyway this is the list of things which finally gave my boy back his skin the way it was intended to be...
  • No dairy.
  • No eggs.
  • No lotions or creams of any sort.
  • Shampoo without dyes or perfumes.
  • No soaps.
  • No detergent.
  • No fabric softer.
  • Organic clothes.
  • No bare skin on carpets or mattresses.
  • His mattress covered with properly washed cotton blankets. (Have you ever priced an organic chemical free mattress...shockingly expensive!)
  • No synthetic fabrics.
  • Only natural cleaners.
  • Cloth diapers.
It gives my heart a little thrill to see him sporting his healthy skin. ....I've worked very hard for it, you know.

Simply Beautiful.

Childhood Accomplishment

Seth and Jason both started riding without training wheels about 2 weeks ago. Woo! Hoo! They are doing great. I'm so proud of them. :) For some reason we only ended up with pictures of Jason though. Going to have to fix that.
